Clariphone

Clariphone

About this project

Clariphone is an ensamble co-created by four women – enthusiasts of chamber music and clarinet. The quartet was founded on the initiative of PhD Jadwiga Czarkowska, lecturer at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland and a specialist in playing the bass clarinet. Together with her, the team is composed of students of the Katowice university – Aleksandra Marchewka, Kinga Richter and Sylwia Mękarska. All the clarinet players are students of Prof. Roman Widaszek and have won numerous awards and distinctions at competitions both in Poland and abroad. The mission of the quartet is to raise wider interest in the broadly understood classical music.
