About this project
Born in Taranto, he studied clarinet at the “G. Paisiello” in Taranto under the guidance of Rocco Brandonisio, subsequently he specialized at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome with Maestro Vincenzo Mariozzi. Awarded 24 times in the main national and international competitions, he held the role of 1st clarinet with numerous orchestral formations such as: Orchestra of the “Vittorio Emanuele” Theater of Messina, Orchestra of the Pugliese Lyric Theater, Fedele Fenaroli International Youth Orchestra, Laborintus Orchestra , Kiev State Orchestra, Philarmonia Mediterranea, Paisiello Festival Orchestra, ICO Orchestra of “Magna Grecia” participating in numerous recordings and tours in Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, United Arab Emirates. He has been a guest with the pianist Paolo Cuccaro at important national and international concert institutions: “G. Cantelli” in Milan, “Magna Grecia” in Taranto, Camerata Musicale Salentina, “Musici Artis” in Rome, “Camerata Musicale Barese”, Teatro Piccinni in Bari, Teatro Paisiello in Lecce, National Archaeological Museum “MarTà” in Taranto, Sala Baldini – Bank of Italy, Molfettese People’s University, Salerno Cathedral, Valente Foundation of Molfetta (BA), Martina Franca Valle d’Itria Festival, Taranto Fusco Theater as well as in various other cities such as Trento, Pavia, Ragusa, Trieste , Bologna, Florence. In 2018 he played together with Paolo Cuccaro (concert player and piano teacher at the “G. Paisiello di Taranto” Conservatory) and Bledar Zajmi (concert player and first cello of the Prague National Theater Orchestra), a long tour in Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, People’s Republic of China where he held concerts and masterclasses at important institutions and theaters such as Zhanngjiakou Cultural Center, Star Theater of Shanghai, Nature Theater of Ningpo, Mingqiu Modern Concert Hall of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in Hangzhou. In 2022 the album “TangOpera Ensemble” was released for the Stranamente Music record label, receiving widespread acclaim from national critics. He is often called as commissioner in important national and international competitions. In the autumn of 2023 he will be engaged in a new tour in China, where he will give concerts and masterclasses in the most important cultural centers of the nation. He has taught at the Conservatories of Taranto, Reggio Calabria, Foggia and since 2023 he has been teaching clarinet at the Conservatory of Music “N. Piccinni” of Bari.
