Fred Ruoff (1955) plays clarinet from age of nine; studies at the Arnhem Conservatory (UM 1985), specially focused on contemporary repertoire; plays with Hans Witteman in Haags Blazersensemble Oktopus (1979-1986) and in trio ‘Studio K’ with pianist Roeland Doesburg; ensembles, including woodwind trio ‘I Tre Canneti’ and duo ‘Sempre con amore’.

Hans Witteman (1957) studies clarinet at the Royal Conservatory (1981); specializes in chamber music and gamelan; playing in ‘Orkest De Ereprijs’ since 1992.

Fred and Hans know each other musically since 1979; since YouTube recording ‘NOTA BENE!’ they perform as ‘Duo Grenadil’.”
