The ensemble F3 was created in 2009 as a result of the composition ‘Allegro Allegria’ by William Prunty. It turned out to be the only composition for this instrumentation. Since then the repertoire has been expanded with pieces by Henk Stoop, Andreas van Zoelen, Fons Mommers, Frans Kerkhofs and Jan van Dijk among others.
The trio is sometimes extended with double bass or piano. F3 also plays arrangements of music of Eric Satie, Igor Strawinsky and Claude Debussy.
