About this project
Zsombor Dániel Eszenyi (clarinet) was born in Budapest, Hungary in 2003. At the age of 14 he was admitted in the School for Exceptional Young Talents at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. He is currently a Bachelor student at the Liszt Academy. His professors include Béla Kovács, Zsolt Szatmári and Csaba Pálfi.
He is the prize winner of several international and Hungarian clarinet and music competitions (Italy, Czechia, Austria, USA). As the 1st prize winner of the International Clarinet Competition of the European Clarinet Association in 2018, he was awarded a professional clarinet by the RZ Woodwind Manufacturing (Czechia). He is an RZ Young Artist. During his studies he received the Junior Prima Award, Annie Fischer Scholarship, Bank of China Scholarship and the Talent Award of the György Cziffra Festival, Budapest.
He has participated in several masterclasses given by world-renowned professors including Francois Benda, Harri Maki, Kilian Herold, Calogero Palermo and Milan Rericha.
He has played in many concerts as a soloist of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra of Gödöllő and the Budapest Strings Ensemble.
