About this project

Daniel is a performer and pedagogue bass clarinet, works as Bass Clarinet and Contrabass Clarinet in the Municipal Symphonic Band of Valencia, member of MaBC Duo, Assamble Debussy and Trio Sunhori.

His dedication is focused on promoting the Bass Clarinet as a solo and chamber music instrument, regularly invited to give lectures and masterclasses at the main conservatories and music schools in Europe, such as the Academy of Music and Performing Arts “Fontys” in Tilburg (Holland), KASK & Conservatorium School of Arts Ghent (Belgium), Conservatorio Statale di Musica “Bruno Maderna” of Cesena (Italy), KLARINET STAGE 2021 in Mesen (Belgium), Conservatory of Music “Joaquín Rodrigo” of Valencia, Conservatory Professional from Altea, École de musique de Sollies Toucas (France), Enric Granados de Lleida Municipal School of Music, Ribarroja del Turia Municipal Professional Conservatory of Music.

He has collaborated with professional Chamber groups, Wind Bands and Orchestras, to name a few: Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, Madrid Municipal Band, Vitoria Municipal Band, Bilbao Municipal Band, OCAZ Enigma, L’Ensemble, playing as soloist with the Classical Orchestra of Huelva, Rafelbunyol Orchestra, Municipal Band of Alicante, Municipal Band of Castellón, Municipal Band of Vitoria, Koninkiljke Harmonie Sint Cecilie de Schelle-Belgium, Hong Kong Festival Wind Orchestra, Band of the Immemorial Regiment of the King of Madrid, Clarinet Ensemble “Arundo Toulon Méditérranée” France, The “International Clarinets” Belgium, etc. Through his various as solo and chamber music projects, he has performed in important concert halls and auditoriums in Europe and Asia.

Daniel has premiered many compositions dedicated to him and the bass clarinet, in close collaboration with important composers such as Ferrer Ferran, José Alamá, Josep Roda, Pere Sanz, Ramón García, Manuel Morcillo, Pascual Piqueras, Eduardo Nogueroles, Miguel Hernándis, Xavi Zamorano, Gerson Padilla, Díaz Yerro, Antonio Fornet, Chris Hung, Eva Lopszyc, Mónica Cárdenas, Bart Vestraeten, Antonio Goia, commissioned and premiering the bass clarinet concertos “Con Cierto Sentido” by José Alamá, “The Castle of Dr. Bassclar” by Ferrer Ferran, “Dialogue Impressions” by Juan Meseguer; and also the double concertos for bass clarinet, marimba and symphonic band/orchestra “Farnese Bridge” by Ramón García, “Spanish Dreams” by Pere Sanz; Bass Clarinet, Clarinet and Symphonic Band “Tarango” by David Rivas, etc…

He has been a guest artist at various festivals, such as: the V European Clarinet Festival in Ghent (Belgium), the X European Clarinet Festival in Gyor (Hungary), the Belgian Music Days in Leuven in 2018, the 33 Canary Islands International Music Festival (FIMC), ClariPerú Bass Clarinet Week 2022, II Latin American Bass Clarinet Competition in Peru, Festival of XXV and XXX COSICOVA Composers Meeting, Valencia (Spain), Alto Palancia Free Expression Festival (FLESAP) Segorbe (Spain), XXXIII International Music Week in Bermeo (Spain), International Music Cycle in Castilla y León (Spain), among others.

Daniel plays with “Steuer” reeds and “JLV” platinum ligature.
