Since studying in Norway with Professor Einar Henning Smebye, and her noticeable debut in 1991, Mona Spigseth has been an active part of the Norwegian Music scene as a solist, chamber musician and accompanist.

She has several recordings with works for piano especially by Norwegian composers, and works for chamber music with Quartet Maliniak.

She is employed as an associate Professor at Institute of Music, NTNU  in Trondheim where she teaches in piano and chamber music, and is the head of Program for Young Talents. Mona has in recent years acted as Mentor and accompanist for several of our most promissing young talents, assisting them towards an international level of performance and understanding.
